kde-baseapps software package provides base applications from the official KDE release (meta-package), you can install in your Ubuntu 12.04 LTS (Precise Pangolin) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install kde-baseapps
kde-baseapps is installed in your system.
Make ensure the kde-baseapps package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep kde-baseapps *
You will get with kde-baseapps package name, version, architecture and description in a table
